Toucan (Ramphastos toco) • In the indigenous mythologies of South America, the toucan is considered a sacred animal that serves as a messenger, because it is said to master all animal languages. It is also a link between the material and spiritual worlds. Its totemic function is communication. 📸 #toucan #tucan #bird #red #bestbirdshots #birdwatching #loves_birds #birdphotography #MomentoNatGeo @natgeoesp #TuFotoNatGeo #yourshotphotographer #wildlifephotography #fragile #survival #soul #consciousness #wildlifeplanet #endangered #biodiversity #animallovers #earthlings #enigma #naturephotography #naturelovers #sonylatin #chiaroscuro #totem #southamericabirds #colorfulbirds #birdsofinstagram @poisboys

Totemic intimacy • There are less than 3,000 Bengal tigers left in the world. But it's not all bad news. This population is almost twice as big as it was nine years ago. Most of these tigers live in India, a highly populated country, so the chances of them coming into conflict with human interests are high. More protected areas are needed for this species to thrive. 📸 #bengaltiger #tiger #feline #bigcat #mindfulness #MomentoNatGeo @natgeoesp #TuFotoNatGeo #yourshotphotographer @natgeolatam #curatethis1x #wildlifephotography #endangered #biodiversity #extinction #fragile @teneuespublishing #soul #consciousness #wildlifeplanet #sonylatin #animallovers #enigma #naturephotography #naturelovers #almosthuman #chiaroscuro #splendid_animals #animal_sultans #exklusive_animals #WildGeography

Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis), one of world's largest reptiles and practically one of the last dinos on Earth. With less than 3000 individuals living on a reduced area of 5 islands in Komodo National Park, these are extremely vulnerable animals and their survival is at stake. It uses tongue to detect odor in the air. Depending on the wind direction, its smelling can reach up to 4 km and given the scarcity of food on their habitats, everything is good to eat... Follow me at @globedronner to learn the legend of Putri Naga and other stories of this endangered animals. #yourshotphotographer #tufotonatgeo #bbcearth #bbctravel #bradtguides #nature #natgeoyourshot #natgeotravel #natgeowild #visitindonesia #wonderfulindonesia #komododragon #komodo #komodonationalpark #komodoisland #rincaisland #reptilesofinstagram #reptiles #lizard #naturelovers #naturephotography
